This pitch comes in multiple parts.
When I am creating a new project in my group,
I want to easily reuse data connectors in my group
so that I don’t have to re-enter the configs for those data connectors (my teammate already created the data connector, why would I have to do it again?).
When I am organizing materials for a hackathon,
I want the participants be able to see all of the data used in the hackathon resources
and easily create new projects using those data
so they can easily get started without entering data connector configs.
When someone is browsing my group’s homepage,
I want them to be able to find the data we use in our work
and easily start new work with that data
so they can reuse and build upon it.

I tried to write out a job story for why Gatekeeper cares about showing data connectors on group pages, and I realized I can’t articulate well why…?! The next 2 job stories are for them, but not well written…

When I am trying to understand who in my group is working on what,
I want to see who is working on which projects, and which projects use which data
so that I am not lost ?!
(PI) When I am ?
I need to know which projects are working with what data
so that I can direct new staff appropriately
and so that I can write data management guidelines
